Meet The Founder

Nikolaj holds degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering, along with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked at:
• A VC-backed technology startup
• A mechanical and product engineering consulting firm
• Boeing, designing propulsion structural components for aircraft
While working at Boeing, Nikolaj partnered with a surgeon and a physical therapist with a combined 66 years of clinical experience to build a new medical device. Over the next two years, they worked through 110+ prototype iterations, 130+ clinical slings, and clinical tests on 30+ patients, ultimately earning a US patent and securing a licensing acquisition deal.Thrivr Design now applies the same disciplined, iterative approach to help inventors and clinicians bring new products to life.
